Candyland strain on my recent trip to SFVDM in Van Nuys, CA.
Ken Estes has a history of creating award winning hybrids, and the Candyland strain is his latest creation. It stems from two Grand Daddy Purp Collective classics – Bay Platinum Cookies and Ken’s Grand Daddy Purple (GDP).
As far as genetics are concerned, the Bay Platinum Cookies strain is a combination of the Bay 11 strain (an unknown Sativa) and a Platinum Cookies phenotype from the Bay Area. Combine this with the Ken’s GDP strain’s genetic lineage (Big Bud X Purple Urkle) and you have quite the cocktail.
Overall, I would expect the Candyland strain to be great option for stress and anxiety relief. It may also be beneficial for patients who suffer from PTSD, OCD, neuropathic pain, depression, and more.
Candyland is all sativa
In small to moderate doses, Candyland is all sativa. You’re unlikely to notice many bodily effects at all unless you finish off a bud or muster through a whole bowl or two.
The mental effects are often starkly apparent during the first half of the experience. Candyland produces a very mellow yet uplifting and stimulating sort of high.
As the name might also suggest, Candyland is a spirited flower with a playful nature. Not only is this strain sweet and delicious, but it is known to inspire a sociable and engaged vibe.
